Trick or Treats is a 1982 American slasher–dark comedy directed, written, shot, and edited by Gary Graver, featuring a cast that includes Jackelyn Giroux, Peter Jason, Chris Graver, David Carradine, Carrie Snodgress, and Steve Railsback .
The story follows Malcolm O’Keefe, a man forcibly committed to a psychiatric institution by his wife; years later, he escapes on Halloween night to find his young son, while the babysitter, Linda, endures a barrage of pranks from the mischievous boy .
As Malcolm makes his way home, the film blends slasher tension with satirical, prank‑heavy sequences, culminating in a violent confrontation that ends with a dark twist.
Produced on a modest $55,000 budget and running 91 minutes, the film has since become a cult oddity for its mix of low‑budget horror, Halloween atmosphere, and offbeat humor .

EDITORS NOTES: I was told not to expect much about this movie, but I really enjoyed it.
I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a horror/comedy, but it is worth checking out.
